Hlađenje uz pomoć Peltiera

Uvod

U današnje vrijeme na tržištu već postoji mnogo vrhunskih hladila, a neka od njih nalaze se i na našem tržištu (Titan Majesty), dok su s drugima uglavnom upoznati tek poneki entuzijasti skloni kupovini preko Interneta (Alpha, Globalwin, Agilent). Međutim, ni najbolja od tih hladila ne mogu spustiti temperaturu Vašeg procesora ispod temperature zraka koji njime kruži, a i to je samo idealan slučaj. Najčešće su rezultati nekoliko stupnjeva veći od temperature zraka u kućištu.

Svakome tko je pokušao overclock-ati svoj procesor jasno je da je toplina neprijatelj broj jedan i da nestabilnost overclock-anih procesora potječe od pregrijavanja. Obično se tada stavljaju jača hladila, podiže voltaža i slično, no sve to ide do određene granice kada jednostavno procesor više nije stabilan ni na sobnoj temperaturi.

U tim situacijama poželjet ćemo procesor ohladiti ispod sobne temperature ili, što bi bilo idealno, ispod temperature smrzavanja i pritom izvući još nekoliko dragocjenih megahertza. Željeli smo pokazati kako jednostavno i uz manje novčane izdatke izraditi hladilo koje je u stanju obaviti baš taj zadatak.

U Hrvatskoj je već bilo časnih pokušaja hlađenja procesora ispod sobne temperature (časopis VIDI), no bili su krajnje nepraktični.. Npr. VIDI-jev mali projekt zasnivao se na konstantnom sprejanju procesora Ledol sprejem (svima nam je jasno da to nije trajno rješenje). Za potrebe naše radionice odlučili smo izraditi hladilo bazirano na termoelektričkom modulu znanom pod imenom Peltierov članak ili kraće - Peltier. S takvom vrstom hlađenja već smo imali iskustva, neka od njih vrlo negativna, pa ćemo Vam skrenuti pažnju na bitne dijelove. Ukoliko nije dobro sastavljen, ovakav hladnjak predstavlja veliku opasnost za komponente u računalu. Sastavljanju je potrebno prići vrlo ozbiljno i temeljito.
