Cooler Master Hyper 6

- Izgled i instalacija -

Na prvi pogled je jasno da je Hyper 6 izuzetno velika gromada bakra. Preciznije, mjere su mu 96x82x120 milimetara s tim da zadnja vrijednost odgovara visini, a budući da je u igri bakar lako je zaključiti da se radi o hladnjaku vrlo velike mase. Istina, masu nismo izmjerili, ali "od oka" bi je procjenili na više 900 grama. S obzirom na ovakve gabarite, jasno je da Hyper 6 nećete moći smjestiti u svako kućište, a problema će imati i korisnici čije matične ploče imaju lošiji layout - ne bi nikome poželjeli manevriranje sa ATX kabelom oko ovog hladnjaka. Srećom, dizajneri hladnjaka su se sjetili adekvatno podignuti tijelo hladnjaka iznad same baze koja dolazi u kontakt sa procesorom tako da će Hyper 6 fino "sjedati" i na ploče sa zakrčenijim procesorskim utorima.

Hyper 6 je stvarno mrcina i pol

Za razliku od klasičinih Cooler Masterovih hladnjaka koji nisu imali nešto posebno ispoliranu bazu, kod Hypera 6 situacija je puno bolja. Baza nije baš "ogledalce", ali je bez zadrške možemo svrstati među bolje koje smo dosad imali prilike vidjeti. Kao što smo već rekli, prijenos topline sa baze na glavu disipativnu površinu hladnjaka odvija se preko šest toplinskih cijevi koje se protežu cijelom visinom hladnjaka. Masivni gornji dio hladnjaka kroz koji prolaze toplinske cijevi napravljen je od velikog broja tankih bakrenih pločica koje su na cijevi vrlo gusto nanizane. Gornji dio je na kraju oklopljen aluminijskim plaštom koji omogućava lakše rukovanje hladnjakom, ali i fiksiranje ventilatora.

Podnožje hladnjaka brušeno je do visokog sjaja

Ovako detaljno izrađeno i izuzetno velika disipativna površina hladnjaka bez sumnje obećava visoke performanse što nas dovodi do zanimljive činjenice - Hyper 6 je u osnovi zamišljen da se koristi bez ventilatora što je prilično dojmljivo ako uzmemo u obzir da Cooler Master preporuča korištenje ovog hladnjaka uz sve trenutne modele Athlona 64 i Pentiuma 4. Ne čini li vam se ovo kao prepretenciozna izjava? :)

S druge strane, u paketu sa hladnjakom priložen je i 80-milimetarski ventilator koji skeptičnim korisnicima ili overclockerima pruža opciju pretvaranja pasivnog hladnjaka u aktivni. Ventilator ima varijabilnu brzinu (od 1800 do 3000 okretaja po minuti), napaja se preko molex konektora, a korisnik brzinu može kontrolirati pomoću potenciometra koji je moguće ugraditi na dva mjesta u računalu - u otvor za floppy ili na jedan od otvora za PCI kartice na stražnjem dijelu računala. Nažalost, ventilator nema ugrađene led diode pa ne svijetli što bi stvarno bio cool feature. Držač potenciometra koji se smješta u otvor za floppy na kućištu inače izgleda prilično cool - izrađen je od aluminija te je na njemu otisnu crni Cooler Masterov logo.

Veliki ventilator zapravo uopće nije bučan

Heh, vratimo se mi sad onom dijelu o instalaciji hladnjaka.Kao prvo, hladnjak ćete izuzetno teško ugraditi ako matičnu ploču ne izvadite iz računala. Dakako, u prvom redu to je zbog njegove glomaznosti i težine, no i zbog toga što je metalne osigurače koji hladnjak fiksiraju na procesor prilično teško ugraditi - valja ih stvarno dobro, "muški", pritisnuti. Uz to, ako na Hyper 6 poželite priviti priloženi ventilator, to ćete morati učiniti nakon fiksiranja hladnjak na procesor s obzirom na to da je nakon ugradnje ventilatora praktički nemoguće pristupiti jednom od metalnih osigurača koji Hyper 6 drže na procesoru. Zanimljivo je da na Hyperu 6 zapravo postoje dva mjesta za 80-milimetarski ventilator što brijačima na "ocanje" pruža opciju još ekstremnijeg hlađenja. To bi bilo to što se tiče vizualno-taktilnog pristupa Cooler Masterovom divovskom hladnjaku. Vrijeme je da ga poslušamo te da mu izmjerimo performanse.
