Test LGA775 hladnjaka

- Uvod i Intel stock LGA775 cooler -

LGA775 je već tu duže vrijeme pa je red da se malo pozabavimo i hladnjacima za procesore koji su napravljeni za ovaj socket. Kako se Prescott procesori dosta griju, tim je bitnije da ih se dobro ohladi a ne da dođe do throttlinga i sličnih negativnih pojava. Mi smo za potrebe ovog testa usporedili četiri i pol hladnjaka - Intel stock cooler (koji ćete dobiti kada kupite neki boxani LGA775 procesor), Cooler Master CI5-9HDPA-0L (iz OEM serije CM hladnjaka), Cooler Master Hyper48 i Arctic Cooling Freezer 7. Ona polovica hladnjaka se odnosi na ThermalTake SilentTower - ovaj hladnjak je kao i velika većina TT proizvoda posebna priča.

Kvalitetno hlađenje procesora bitno je neovisno o tome da li ste prosječan korisnik koji želi mirno spavati i osigurati da će njegova investicija u novi procesor biti dužeg vijeka ili zadrti overclocker koji iz svog CPU-a želi izvući svaki atom snage. Nažalost, kod nas ljudi često imaju zahtjeve koji nisu spojivi - žele raditi opaki overclocking a da uz to imaju minimalni nivo buke - i to bez upotrebe vodenog hlađenja ili sličnih stvari. Jednostavno ovo dvoje zajedno baš i ne ide. Istina, ima hladnjaka koji omogućuju dobar overclocking uz malo buke, kao npr. Cooler Master Hyper6, no oni sami po sebi nisu dovoljni - treba adekvatno ventilirati i samo kućište. Mi često naletimo na ljude koji su maknuli većinu ili sve ventilatore iz kućišta, usporili vent na hladnjaku, digli takt i sada gunđaju kako su im u dućanu prodali procesor koji nije dobar overclocker. Uz to ima i onih koji su sve to napravili i još koriste neki stock ili OEM cooler koji košta manje od 100kn. Sorry dečki, ali ne može se imati i ovce i novce - overclocking za sobom vuče dodatno zagrijavanje a ono za sobom, ukoliko se koristi klasično hlađenje, povećanje buke. A zašto vam sve ovo govorimo? Zato što par hladnjaka iz ovog testa lijepo ilustriraju sve ovo - da tihi hladnjak rijetko kada može biti i moćan.

 

Intel stock LGA775 cooler

Za početak je tu Intel stock LGA775 hladnjak. Iako ovaj hladnjak ne krase neke jako dobre performanse (kao što ćete vidjeti kasnije) ne može se reći da je loš. Kao prvo, montiranje ovog hladnjaka je toliko jednostavno da jednostavnije ne može biti - potrebno je pritisnuti sve četiri nogice da kliknu i to je to. Skidanje je isto lagana operacija - nogice treba zarotirati u smjeru u kojem pokazuje strelica i nakon toga se cooler samo podigne. Ukoliko ga pak želite opet vratiti nakon skidanja, morate nogice vratiti u prvobitni položaj, tj. u onaj prije rotacije u smjeru strelica. U protivnom hladnjak nećete moći montirati kako treba.

Za pohvalu je i pasta koja dolazi na hladnjaku koja je nadprosječne kvalitete, tj. nešto bolja od većine običnih silikonskih termalnih pasta. Njezine dobre osobine nažalost mogu biti i minus - testovi su pokazali da korištenje neke druge paste (a da nije neka skupa srebrna pasta poput Artic Silvera) može dovesti do toga da P4 modeli 550 i 560 počnu raditi throttling zbog previsoke temperature rada. Ovi problemi su navodno rješeni na J seriji procesora, no to još nismo uspjeli provjeriti. U svakom slučaju, ukoliko kupite P4 550 ili više, preporučamo nabavku i boljeg hladnjaka.

Druga stvar koja nije preveliki plus jest činjenica da ventilator nema oko sebe nikakav oklop pa ukoliko ruku gurate u stroj koji radi (npr. da malo bolje složite kablovinu) može lako doći do kontakta između nekog vašeg prsta i krilca ventilatora. Na sreću kako se ventilator ne vrti prebrzo ovo neće imati tragične posljedice (probajte to napraviti sa Delta 8cm ventilatorom od 80cfm pa će biti vraga!). Što se bučnosti tiče, Intelov LGA775 stock cooler je čisti prosjek - ne radi se o nekom screameru no bome ni o nečujnom ninji koja se šulja.
