- Modifikacija rashladnog sustava -

Prva stvar koju smo napravili bilo je odstranjivanje hladila. Hladilo samo po sebi prilično je masivno i sigurno prilično dobro odstranjuje toplinu generiranu od strane čipa, ali se i prilično grije. Kao i ostale Voodoo3 kartice, tako ni ova nema aktivno hlađenje, dakle ne postoji ventilator na hladilu. Primjetili smo da se koristi termovodljiva ljepljiva traka kao most između čipa i hladila. Općenito je to bolja metoda nego direktno postavljanje hladila na čip, ali je i lošije rješenje od korištenja termovodljive paste. Stoga smo odstranili traku koja možda posluži u nekom narednom eksperimentu i stavili termalnu pastu, te montirali hladilo nazad na čip. Sada smo postigli nešto bolji prijenos topline sa čipa na hladilo, no i dalje ostaje problem pregrijavanja, odnosno pasivnog hlađenja prijenosom topline sa hladila na zrak u kućištu. Zato smo ugradili ventilator na hladilo. Mnogi će se složiti s nama kada kažemo da je pretjerano velik, no trenutno nismo imali drugih u zalihi. Kartica je već poprimila monstruozan izgled, ali to nas nije uopće zabrinjavalo. Nismo htjeli ventilator vezati na hladilo s ljepilom ili silikonom jer smo ga htjeli kasnije maknuti bez previše muke, pa smo stoga iskoristili široke metalne šerafe koji su jedini bili u stanju držati ventilator na mjestu - uglavnom zbog popriličnog razmaka među rebrima hladila.

Bilo je moguće pričvrstiti samo dva šarafa pa smo iskoristili gumice kao dodatno sredstvo.
