- Instalacija -

Instalacija hladnjaka je u skaldu s njegovom veličinom i fleksibilnošću u pogledu tipa procesora nešto kompliciranija. U osnovi, hladnjak se na procesor fiksira pomoću vijaka koji prolaze kroz rupe na matičnoj ploči. U kontekstu kompatibilnosti s matičnim pločama to nije problem izuzev u slučaju Socket A ploča. Budući da se izvorno Socket A hladnjaci fiksiraju na socket pomoću kukica, posotoje i Socket A matične ploče koje nemaju dodatne rupe za ugradnju većih hladnjaka.

Tijelo hladnjaka je izdignuto od matične ploče što smanjuje pojednostavljuje instalaciju

Prilikom instalacije na bazu hladnjaka prvo valja pričvrstiti odgovarajuću masku (držač) zavisno o tipu procesora. Maska se na bazu fiksira pomoću četiri malena vijka. Potom na masku treba zaviti veće vijke koji prolaze kroz rupe na matičnoj ploči i izlaze na njenoj poleđini. Zanimljivo je da ovi vijici imaju obrnutu orijentaciju zavijanja što je dosta zgodna trik.

Hladnjak je matičnu ploču fiksiran maticama

Nakon toga se na rupe na matilčnoj ploči zalijepe mekani odstojnici kako težina hladnjaka ne bi oštetila matičnu ploču. Zadnji korak u instalaciji - na vijke koji izlaze na poleđini matične ploče treba staviti plastične odstojnike (heh, tzv. "šajbice"), pa tako pripremljene vijke zaviti matice. Naravno, cijeli ovaj proces implicira da je za instalaciju hladnjaka matičnu ploču potrebno izvaditi iz kućišta što je za mnoge velika gnjavaža.

Konačni rezultat ove komplicirane instalacije možete vidjeti na gornjoj fotki. Kao što vidimo, Hyper 6+ je mrcina od hladnjaka koja zasjednjuje sve ostale komponente na matičnoj ploči. S obzirom na njegovu veličinu, valja imati na umu da ovaj hladnjak neće stati u svako kućište ili na svaku matičnu ploču. Problem bi mogle biti grafičke kartice s masivnijim hladnjacima, ali to je lako riješiti prebacivanjem ventilatora na hlanjaku s jedne na drugu stranu.
