Grijanje Athlona

U zadnjih mjesec dana dobili smo velik broj poruka u kojima nas pitate: "Moj socket Duron/Athlon XXXMHz se zagrije do 50/55/60°C. Da li je to u redu?" Zaključili smo da je lakše odgovoriti jednim člankom, nego svakom posebno pisati odgovor na e-mail. Ono što moramo odmah na početku napomenuti jest da točnog odgovora na ovo pitanje nema - previše je faktora u igri. Na temperaturu utječe sam procesor, temperatura kućišta, termalna pasta, hladnjak, vanjska temperatura, voltaža, itd, itd.

Athlon procesori imaju sljedeće oznake (Duroni su nešto drukčije obilježeni, ali slijede istu logiku):

Frekvencija (npr.): 0850= 850MHz,
0900= 900MHz,
1200= 1200MHz, 1333= 1333MHz

"Pakiranje": A = PGA (socket)
Voltaža (vcore): M= 1.75V, P= 1.7V
Maks. temperatura: S= 95°C, T= 90°C
L2 cache:
3 = 256Kb
FSB: B= 200MHz, C= 266MHz

Kao što vidimo, u teoriji je maksimalna temperatura za socket Athlone 90-95°C. Kažemo u teoriji jer ako Vam se temperatura približi tim brojevima vrlo je vjerovatno da ćete ubrzo nakon toga osjetiti veliki smrad i moći se oprostiti od Vašeg procesora. AMD-ova tablica deklraira toplinu svojih procesora ovako:

Kao što vidimo, Athloni zrače kao da su iz pakla! Vlasnici Intel procesora navikli su na brojke koje su upola manje. Postaje jasno zašto je dobro hlađenje Athlon/Duron procesora tako bitno. U Hrvatskoj postoji dodatni problem, a to je što je nemoguće nabaviti stvarno dobre hladnjake. Golden Orb i Titan Majesty dovoljna su za rad na tvorničkim brzinama, ali nikako i za overclocking. Naravno, zračenje može biti još i više ukoliko ste podigli voltažu (vcore) Vašeg procesora. Ako želite točno znati koliko zrači Vaš Athlon, skinite program Radiate.
