PixelView PlayTV 505 DVB-T i PlayTV mobile - telka novog doba

- Uvod i tehnologija -
Rijetko pišemo o TV tunerima za računala, no kada nam je Prolink ponudio tunere koji primaju digitalne signale nismo ih mogli odbiti s obzirom da je riječ o vijesnicima budućnosti prijenosa glasa i slike (i još koječega). Na test smo dobili DVB-T TV tunere u dvjema različitim izvedbama (PC Card i USB2.0) i to modele PlayTV 505 i PlayTV Mobile (model WT-230C koji postoji samo za svrhe testiranja, dok je njegov komercijalni blizanac model PV-D522C).

DVB-T tehnologija je relativno nova na našim prostorima , a kratica znači Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial. Dakle, riječ je o emitiranju digitalnog signala pomoću zemaljskih odašiljača. DVB potoji još u dvije izvedbe, a to su DVB-S (Satellite) i DVB-C (Cable). Oba ova uređaja smo testirali na prijenosnom računalu, a prije nego krenemo na opise, pročitajte što je to DVB sa svim svojim prednostima, ali i ponekom manom.

DVB tehnologija

DVB je europski projekt kojem je cilj uvesti digitalni način prijenosa TV signala (slike i zvuka) na sva tri načina prijenosa - zemaljski (DVB-T), satelitski (DVB-S) i kabelski (DVB-C). Prednosti digitalnog prijenosa TV signala nad klasičnim analognim su višestruke. Preko jednog odašiljača , koristeći jedan frekvancijski kanal moguće je odašiljanje 4 do 6 kanala istovremeno (DVB multipleks). Digitalni signal je neosjetljiv na smetnje pa daje kvalitetnu sliku bez šuma i drugih smetnji, a ako su pak smetnje prejake slika u potpunosti nestane sa ekrana ili ostane zamrznuta zadnja slika prije prekida. Pošto na prijem slike ne utječu refleksije (eho) signal je moguće primati na sobnu ili "štap" antenu u sobi ili na otvorenom prostoru, čak i ako se krećemo oko same antene to neće utjecati na prijem signala. Za pokrivanje istog područja jednakom kvalitetom signala za DVB-T potrebna je čak 8 puta manja snaga odašiljača u odnosu na analogni odašiljač. Uz zadovoljene određene uvjete moguć je prijam signala i u vozilima. Prednosti digitalnog odašiljanja ima još, no postoje i neke mane koje se moraju spomenuti. Najveća je mana nekompatibilnost sa postojećim analognim TV prijamnicima. Za prijam DVB-T signala potreban je poseban digitalni prijamnik - adapter tzv. “Set Top Box” (STB), slično kao za prijam satelitskog programa, koji se spaja između antene i standardnog (analognog) televizora. Postoje i integrirani digitalni TV prijamnici s mogućnosti prijema i analognog i digitalnog signala, pa ćete morati posegnuti duboko u novčanik kako bi uživali u blagodatima DVB-T-a.

DVB-T u Hrvatskoj

U sklopu projekta Hrvatskog zavoda za telekomunikacije i Odašiljača i veza d.o.o. nabavljena su dva digitalna televizijska odašiljača, svaki snage 250W, i tzv. “digitalna platforma” t.j. digitalni MPEG-2 koderi i multiplekser za kodiranje i multipleksiranje radi zajedničkog prijenosa i odašiljanja tri (3) televizijska programa te ostala dodatna oprema. Navedena oprema je ugrađena na objektu HRT Dom (“digitalna platforma” i jedan odašiljač) i Sljeme (drugi odašiljač) te čini pilot- digitalnu odašiljačku mrežu, a puštena je u probni pogon 20. svibnja 2002. godine. Prijenos multipleksiranog digitalnog signala od HRT Doma do odašiljača na Sljemenu ostvaruje se digitalnom prijenosnom vezom putem svjetlovoda. Odašiljač na Sljemenu radi na UHF kanalu 27. s usmjerenjem antenskog sustava prema jugu odnosno Zagrebu a na HRT Domu na UHF kanalu 56. s kružnim zračenjem.

Na području Zagreba mogu se pratiti oba programa HTV-a, RTL Televizije i Nove TV.

Update:

S obzirom kako su podaci koje smo iznijeli o pokrivenosti digitalnim signalom u Hrvatskoj zastarjeli, nadopunjujemo ih sa novim koje je saznao naš forumaš Jelc.

Parametri odašiljanja su propisani od strane Hrvatske Agencije za telekomunikacije i u periodu eksperimentalnog rada podložni su mogućim promjenama. Mreža odašiljača postepeno će se širiti, prvenstveno za pokrivanje gradskih i gušće naseljenih područja, a zatim i ostatka države. Kojom brzinom će to ići ovisi o Agenciji koja mora pronaći slobodne frekvencije i međunarodno ih koordinirati, s obzirom da u ovom prijelaznom periodu moraju paralelno raditi i analogna i digitalna televizija.

Za kvalitetan prijem nužno je imati optičku vidljivost sa odašiljačem, iako, u slučaju manjih prepreka postoji također mogućnost prijema čija će kvaliteta ovisiti o prepreci.
Također je poželjno imati antenu na krovu.

Što se tiče plana za prelazak na kompletno digitalnu TV, još nije definiran rok, a prijelazno razdoblje će potrajati još par godina. Teško je za sada točnije reći.
Odašiljači i veze, u suradnji s drugima, a naročito sa Hrvatskom agencijom za telekomunikacije rade na planovima.
Tijekom 2006 planiraju se pokriti preostala županijska središta.
