Corsair 2GB TwinX 3500LLPRO DDR RAM

- Uvod i opis -

Iako je jasno da bliža budućnost pripada DDR2 memoriji, DDR1 memoriju ne treba još otpisati. Ukoliko ste vlasnik neke nF4 ploče i nekog jačeg Athlona 64 (ili dobro overclockanog) trenutno nema smisla žuriti sa prelaskom na novi socket. Ono što se pak isplati jest povećati količinu radne memorije - i tu u igru dolazi junak ovog našeg testa - Corsair TwinX 2GB 3500LLPRO kit.

Svi koji imalo poznaju Corsair iza imena TwinX odmah će prepoznati paket koji se sastoji od dva sticka memorije. 2GB nam pak daje do znanja da se radi o dva modula kapaciteta 1GB, a oznaka 3500LLPRO nam daje do znanja da se radi o memoriji koja radi na 433MHz na niskoj latenciji. Sufiks PRO nam pak daje do znanja da se radi o seriji memorije sa većim heatsinkom koji na sebi ima LED-ice koje svijetle ovisno o opterećenju i popunjenosti same memorije.

Opće je poznato da niske latencije i visoki takt ne idu ruku uz ruku sa većim kapacitetom. No, uz pomoć kvalitetnih komponenti (BrainPower PCB-a te Infineon BE-5 čipova) Corsair je uspio spojiti kapacitet sa agresivnim postavkama, i to sve uz podršku za 1T Command - način rada koji najviše utječe na memorijske performanse (a samim tim i ukupne) kod Athlon 64 procesora.

Infineon BE-5 čipovi su se inače pokazali kao dobri pa im nije problem "povući" i do 520MHz. Njihova osobina je i ta što ne traže visoki napon tako da im ne treba iznad 2.8V. Samim tim teško da ćete sa ovim čipovima imati problema sa pregrijavanjem. BrainPower PCB-i se već duže vrijeme smatraju najkvalitetnijim tako da se o Corsairovom izboru može reći samo najbolje.

Corsair za svoju 3500LLPRO memoriju garantira 433MHz uz postavke 2-3-2-6 na 2.6V što je jako dobro. Kao što ćete vidjeti kasnije, ova memorija može i više - no to smo i očekivali.

Prije odprilike godinu dana realno nije postojala velika potreba za 2GB memorije - 2x512MB bilo je sasvim dovoljno za veliku većinu stvari. Danas je situacija drugačija, pogotovo što se igara tiče, i 2GB memorije je realna potreba. Dolaskom Viste za očekivati je da će potreba za memorijom postati još i veća.
