EVGA-ina ploča zahvaljujući korištenju referentnog dizajna na korisnika ostavlja sličan dojam kao i nVidijine grafičke kartice - klasičan zeleni PCB načičkan je neupadljivim komponentama dok u oči upadaju jedino hladnjaci s nVidijinim logom te nešto veća EVGA-ina naljepnica kraj prvog utora za grafičku karticu.

Hlađenje matične ploče izvedeno je aktivno što nas ne čudi mnogo s obzirom da su nVidijini čipseti notorni po grijanju. Korištenje ventilatora također u teoriji obećava bolje overclockanje tako je jasno zašto su ugrađeni i na hladnjaku northbridge i na hladnjaku southbridgea. Srećom, ventilatori su obuhvaćeni sistemom automatske regulacije kojeg možemo naći u BIOS-u tako da ih je moguće natjerati na tiši rad. Osim aktivnih hladnjaka, na elektroniku koja hrani procesor energijom ugrađeni su i pasivni hladnjaci što je postala norma na svim high-end pločama. Prostor oko utora za procesor je relativno čist, bez velikih kondezatora, no imali smo problema s korištenjem našeg divovoskog Noctua NH-U12 hladnjaka. Naime, premda smo tijelo hladnjaka bez problema ugradili na ploču, problemi su nastali kad smo na hladnjak trebali staviti ventilator. Naime, kako je hladnjak na northbridgeu matične ploče dostav visok i krupan, ventilator na hladnjak procesora smo morali postaviti iznad njega tako da strši van tijela hladnjaka. To dakako nije bio neki problem kad je riječ o našem testnom stroju budući da kućište nije zatvoreno, no predstavljalo bi problem pri normalnom korištenju računala. Još jedan negativni aspekt pomicanje ventilatora je to što donji i najkritičniji dio hladnjaka na procesoru nije bio adekvatno ventiliran. Ipak, imajte na umu da je Noctua NH-U12 ekstremno velik hladnjak pa s većinom hladnjaka na tržištu ova ploča zapravo neće stvarati probleme.

Kao što ćete vidjeti kasnije u tekst, raspored konektora na EVGA-inoj ploči je prilično dobar. Ipak, ima i par izuzetaka, a prvi je 8-pinski EPS konektor za napajanje procesora. Prema je smješten na rub ploče što je u principu dobar izbor, ograđen je s tri strane drugim komponentama - pasivnim hladnjakom, većim elektrolitskim kondenzatorom i stražnjom stranom PS/2 konektora. Drugim riječima, teže mu je pristupiti nego inače posebice ako rabite veliki hladnjaka na procesoru.
