Scythe Kama Thermo Wireless

Ako imate naviku optimizirati svoje računalo i tjerati komponente do nekakvog "zdravog" maksimuma, sigurno ste se susreli s problemom mjerenja temperature. U većini slučajeva ono je na računalnim komponentama rješeno preko internih sondi i senzora koje su u komponente ugradili sami proizvođači. I premda bi se moglo zaključiti da zbog toga zapravo nema potrebe za nekakvim vanjskim mjeračima temperature, u praksi se često pokazuje da ugrađeni senzori griješe (ponajviše zbog nekalibriranog softvera), ali i da korisnici žele znati temperaturu komponenti ili dijelova računala gdje senzori nisu ugrađeni. Rješenje problema je dakako nabavka dediciranog termometra, a jedan takav na testiranje nam je poslala tvrtka Scythe.

Scythe Kama Thermo Wireless isporučuje se u relativno malenoj kutiji na kojoj su navedene njegove glavne značajke. To su redom:

  • Mogućnost mjerenja temperature između 0 i 100 °C
  • Mogućnost napajanja preko USB konektora
  • Kompaktne dimenzije što olakšava nošenje
  • Plavo pozadinsko osvjetljenje
  • Ikona za prikaz stanja ugrađene baterije

Tu svakako treba dodati i da Kama Thermo Wireless sukladno imenu temperaturu mjeri bez izravnog kontakta s površinom predmeta čiju temperaturu želimo saznati.

Kao što možemo vidjeti na gornjoj sličici, u kutiji se osim samog Kama termometra nalaze i kratke upute za uporabu, USB kabel za spajanje na računalo te komad trake načinjene od crne tkanine. Svrha potonjeg dodatka je dodavanje mogućnosti mjerenja visokoreflektivnih materijala kao što je primjerice staklo. Traka se zalijepi na predmet čiju temperaturu želimo izmjeriti te potom na nju usmjeri termometar.

Kama Thermo Wireless relativno je malen uređaj koji izgleda poput prevelike USB memorije s jednom tipkom, LCD zaslonom i čudnim srebrnim otvorom na jednom kraju. Kada nije priključen na računalo, uređaj se napaja iz jedne baterije tipa CR2032 (izgleda poput malenog novčića). Rukovanje ovim termometrom krajnje je jednostavno - uređaj jednostavno treba usmjeriti na predmet koji želimo izmjeriti te potom pritisnuti veliku okruglu tipku. Nakon toga se na ekranu prikazuje izmjerena temperatura u troznamenkastoj vrijednosti s jednim decimalnim podjeljkom.

Ograničenja pri mjerenju dakako postoje, a to je da mjerač mora biti postavljen što bliže površini čiju temperaturu mjerimo. To je dakako vrlo nezgodno ako vam ovakav uređa treba da bi izmjerili temperaturu teško dostupnih dijelova računala, no što je tu je. Drugo ograničenje odnosi se na temperaturni raspon - od 0 do 100 °C. To će pokriti zahtjeve većine korisnika, no oni koji se vole igrati s ekstremnim hlađenjem ostati će kratkih rukava.

Posljednja značajka Scytheovog mjerača je mogućnost spajanja na računalo preko USB kabela (mini konektor na mjeraču). Kada je mjerač na ovaj način priključen na računalo, pri radu ne crpi energiju iz ugrađene baterije već iz USB porta. Uz to, LCD ekran dobija plavo pozadinsko osvjetljenje što uvelike olakšava očitavanje rezultata mjerenja. Dakako, u ovom načinu rada mjeraču se zbog kabela smanjuje prenosivost te donekle lakoća rukovanja.

Koliko ovakvu điđu treba platiti, pitate se?

Vrlo malo, tek oko 130 kn. U zamjenu za ovaj iznos dakle dobijate kompaktan i relativno precizan daljinski mjerač skromnog, ali u većini slučajeva dostatnog mjernog raspona, a čija je osnovna negativna karakteristika potreba da tijekom mjerenja bude dosta blizu mjerenom predmetu.

U slučaju da vam ovakav uređaj nije dovoljan i trebate nešto moćnije, biti ćete prisiljeni izdvojiti višestruko veći iznos. Za otprilike 700 do 800 kuna moguće je kupiti daljinski termometar u obliku pištolja. Ovakav uređaj ima mnogo veći mjerni raspon (model koji je na raspolaganju autora ovih redaka mjeri temperature između -20 i +420 °C), pravu mogućnost mjerenja s distance (20+ cm), laserski pokazivač kako bi točno mogli odrediti što mjerimo te pozadinsko osvjetljenje ekrana bez potrebe za priključivanjem na vanjsko napajanje (zbog toga što sam uređaj koristi mnogo veću bateriju). Doduše, na preciznosti nećete profitirati - vrijednosti izmjerene sa skupljim termometrom i Scytheovim uređaj razlikovale su se za samo jedan celzijev stupanj.
