Testna konfiguracija koju smo rabili za potrebe ovog testa temeljena na prilično modernim, no ne pretjerano energetski zahtjevnim komponentama. Pri testiranju najsnažnijeg bequietovog napajanja u konfiguraciju smo ubacili još jednu HD 5770 karticu kako bi napajanje bilo adekvatno opterećeno.

Način testiranja

Performanse napajanja mjerili smo u dvije situacije - kada na računalo nije aktivnirana niti jedna aplikacija osim samog operacijskog sustava (dakle kada nema opterećenja) te kada je računalo opterećeno grafički, procesorski i memorijski zahtjevnim aplikacijama. Ovakvo maksimalno opterećenje simulirano je uzastopnim izvođenjem HDR/SM3.0 testa iz 3DMarka06 dok se u pozadini vrti alat Prime95 koji opterećuje sve četiri jezgre procesora (ne blend način rada već "maximal heat, power consumption"). Samim time, jasno je da ovakvo opterećenje praktički nije moguće napraviti normalnim korištenjem računala, pa makar igrali najzahtjevniju igru ili rabili najzahtjevniju aplikaciju za 3D renderiranje. Drugim riječima, vlastito napajanje pri normalnom radu vjerojatno nikada nećete na ovaj način opteretiti.

Što se tiče samih mjerenja, obavili smo ih korištenjem multimetra Fluke 287. Sonde instrumenta pri mjerenju su bile zabodene u odgovarajuće pinove na ATX konektoru. Potrošnja, a time efikasnost napajanja mjerena je s uređajem za nadzor potrošnje koji se može nabaviti u Bauhausu ili sličnim trgovinama. Ovaj uređaj nije osobito precizan i zapravo smo već nabavili jedan bolji, no nažalost ga nismo stigli iskoristiti u sklopu ovog testa. Mjeračem potrošnje ne možemo izmjeriti konkretnu vrijednost efikasnosti napajanja jer bi za to trebali znati potrošnju na izlazima i ulazu. Ono što možemo napraviti je usporediti potrošnju na ulazu napajanja (dakle ono što napajanje "cucla" iz gradske mreže) što nam može reći koliko je neko napajanje više ili manje efikasno.

Performanse

Naše grafikone malo smo prilagodili testovima napajanja. Minimalna vrijednost na osi ujedno je minimalna vrijednost određenog naponskog voda predviđena u sklopu ATX specifikacije (5% tolerancije). Ista je stvar s maksimalnom vrijednošću. Između toga se dakako nalazi referentna, idealna vrijednost naponskog voda koja u slučaju ovog prvog i ujedno najbitnijeg grafikona iznosi 12 volta.

Kao što vidimo, kod svih bequietovih napajanja povećano opterećenje uzrokuje velik pad napon nas 12-voltnom vodu. Nešto bolje se ponaša 430-vatni model, no samo kada je opterećen s jednom grafičkom karticom. Nakon dodavanja još jedne grafičke kartice razlika između vrijednosti napona 12-voltnog voda bez i s opterećenjem poprilično je velika. Ipak, niti jedno od napajanja tijekom rada ne izlazi van okvira radnih parametara definiranih ATX specifikacijom.

Kad je riječ o 5-voltnom vodu, oscilacije su sukladno očekivanjima osjetno manje. Zanimljivo je primjetiti da jedino 300-vatni model undervolta dočim ostala dva napajanja u svim režimima rada overvoltaju 5-voltni vod.

Vrijednosti 3,3-voltnog voda nisu baš prekrasne. Iz grafikona je jasno vidljivo da se dosta devijiraju od idealne vrijednosti od 3,3 volta te se približavaju gornjoj granici definiranoj ATX specifikacijom. Obzirom na relativno visoku cijenu Pure Power napajanja u odnosu na njihovu snagu, očekivali smo da će regulacija napona biti bolja.

Potrošnja, pa time i efikasnost Pure Power napajanja su na praktički jednakoj razini što ne čudi obzirom da su sva tri modela temeljena ako ne i jednakom dizajnu.
