- Freezer 11 LP -
Freezer 11 LP je najnovija pridošlica u Arctic Coolingovoj ponudi. Svima su nam već otprije poznati entry-level hladnjaci iz serije Alpine za AMD te Intel procesore. Ovaj hladnjak je svojevrsni nasljednik istih po pitanju cijene i performansi, koje bi ipak trebale biti nešto bolje radi dodavanja heatpipe tehnologije hlađenja. Kako mu i ime govori, radi se o low-profile hladnjaku koji je namijenjen prvenstveno kao zamijena za Intelove stock hladnjake koji su bučni čak i pri najmanjem opterećenju. Prije svega pregledajmo službene specifikacije hladnjaka, pa prijeđimo na pakiranje. Valja napomenuti da su specifikacije preuzete sa poleđine kutije, tj pakiranja pošto dotični hladnjak još nije niti naveden na službenim stranicama.

Freezer 11 LP dolazi u jednostavnom plastičnom pakiranju koje radi svoj posao, no ne bi se najbolje slagalo s velikom težinom na sebi. Mišljenja smo da bi bilo bolje da su išli na kartonsko pakiranje, no dobro. Pošto je pakiranje prozirno s gornje se strane uredno vidi čitav hladnjak, tj. ventilator s kojim isti dolazi. Sa stražnje strane se nalaze detaljne specifikacije, te glavne značajke hladnjaka. S bočne strane se nalazi generički graf s usporedbom Freezera 11 te stock hladnjaka po pitanju temperature i buke, na Intelovom i5 750 procesoru.

Vađenjem hladnjaka iz kutije uočavamo već nanesenu termalnu pastu na bazi (konkretno, radi se o kvalitetnoj Arctic Coolingovoj MX-2 termalnoj pasti), koju smo i koristili za testiranje. Uz pribor i upute za instalaciju, AC je priložio i naljepnicu za kućište. Hladnjak je na dodir lagan i kompaktan. Dolazi sa, kako smo spomenuli 92mm PWM ventilatorom koji je u praksi veoma tih, osim pri najvećem opterećenju kada se vrti na maksimalnoj brzini okretaja, no i tada proizvodi "ugodniji" zvuk nego stock cooler koji dolazi s procesorom. Ventilator se lagano skida sa tijela hladnjaka za koji se drži pomoći četiri manje plastične kopče.

Okretanjem hladnjaka možemo vidjeti dva bakrena heatpipea koja se protežu preko cijele duljine heatsinka. Baza je točno onoliko velika da pokrije cijelu površinu 775 odnosno 1156 procesora što, usput budi rečeno, stock hladnjak radi svog dizajna nije u mogućnosti. Sve u svemu svakako ozbiljniji i kvalitetniji hladnjak nego njegovi prethodnici, a sudeći po specifikacijama može izdržati opterećenje i do 90W.

Hladnjak je moguće instalirati u (samo) dvije pozicije, i to radi načina na koji je montaža izvedena. Kad smo kod toga, mi smo imali manjih problema oko instalacije na našu testnu ECS P55H-AK matičnu ploču. Pošto su rupe za hladnjake dosta blizu zavojnicama (konkretno jedna u uglu), a plastični nosači su bili nešto veći na rubovima, morali smo ih malo "izrezbariti" sa skalpelom da bi sjeli na mjesto. Ništa strašno, par poteza kako bi skinuli nekoliko milimetara s nosača. Drugi problem je bio u tome što su heatsinkovi ploče nešto bliži socketu, a viši po pitanju visine, nije nam preostalo ništa drugo (nismo imali drugu ploču pri ruci) nego u potpunosti odstraniti hlađenje s matične ploče kako bi to sve zajedno moglo biti instalirano kako treba.

Nakon početnih muka, ostatak instalacije je prošao jednostavno. Ukoliko nemate ploču kakvu smo imali mi, moći ćete hladnjak instalirati i sa pločom u kućištu, što je svakako dodatan plus. Dovoljno je skinuti stock hladnjak, staviti dva nosača, pritisnuti ih pomoći priloženih pinova, te naposljetku zaviti hladnjak pomoći četiri vijka. To smo naveli i na slikama, koje će vam pojasniti cijeli postupak.
