AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition test

Opis

S obzirom da je o Phenomima II X4 sve već napisano, a ovaj se 980 Black Edition arhitekturalno ne razlikuje od tih ostalih Deneba s opisom nećemo dužiti. Reći ćemo samo kako za razliku od starijeg modela 975 Black Edition modela koji radi na 3.6GHz, 980-tka radi na 3.7GHz, tj. defaultni joj je množitelj 18.5 (s obzirom da je Black Edition množitelj je dakako otključan). Ovaj sada već preko tri godine star i usavršeni 45nm SOI proizvodni proces dozvoljava visoke brzine pa smo s inicijalnih 3.2GHz došli do tvorničke brzine od 3.7GHz. Uz to i overclocking se potencijal popeo pa smo tako u zadnjem testu 975-icu natjerali na lijepih 4.5GHz. Biti će zanimljivo vidjeti hoće li i ovome to uspjeti ili će pak biti i malo brži. 980 BE ima 125W TDP kao i ostali BE procesori do sada, ima i 6MB L3 priručne memorije koja se dijeli između njegove četiri jezgre, dolazi u Socket AM3 pakiranju, podržava HyperTransport na 2000 MHz te MMX, Extended 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4a, AMD64, Cool'n'Quiet, NX bit i AMD-V tehnologije.

Način testiranja

Test sistem i testovi su manje više standardni koje koristimo za testove procesora. Standardna je i MSI-eva 890FXA-GD70 ploča, a procesore je hladio Noctuin D14 hladnjak. Gigabyteovu HD5870 SOC karticu iz prijašnjih testova AMD procesora je zamijenila Gigabyteova GTX560 Ti SOC, pa će te usporedne testove gdje rezultat ovisi o grafici vidjeti jedino s Phenom II X6 1055T procesorom. Za usporedbu smo u pojedinim testovima koristili rezulatate različitih AMD procesora sa mješavinom starijih i novijih Intelovih. Test potrošnje smo vršili sa OCCT-om, a ona se odnosi na cijeli sistem. Rezultate zagrijavanja procesora nismo uvrstili u tablice, zbog nekonzistentnosti dobivenih (očitanih), rezultata. Kako ne bi pretrpavali tablice, overclocking rezultate smo stavili u zasebnu tablicu.

Stabilni maksimum na koji smo u ranijem testu natjerali 975 BE procesor bio je odličan - čak 4500MHz. Za ovaj smo se procesor nadali kako će ga malo nadmašiti ili mu u najboljem slučaju parirati. No, prevarili smo se. Primjerak koji nam je stigao nije htio stabilno raditi na više od 4375MHz ma koliko mu mi napona dali. Zanimljivo je kako mu za 4.3GHz treba svega 1.4V, nakon čega je napon potrebno drastično podizati kako bi izvukli tih dodatnih 75Mhz. No, ni s 1.6V i pojačanim hlađenjem (dodatni ventilatori i klimatiziranje sobe) nije išlo više. Sve u svemu nije loše, no 975 BE i dalje ostaje kralj OC-a.
