Test MSGW X79 konfiguracije

Za test ove mrcine koristili smo nekoliko standardnih testova koji uključuju Futuremarkovu sintetiku za grafiku i općenite preformanse, propusnost memorije, performanse diskovnog podsustava, performanse overclockiranig procesora, potrošnju i zagrijavanje. Najprije smo kao i uvijek krenuli sa sintetikom. Sasvim solidan rezultat od 4742 boda u 11-ici, uvjetovan je i odličnom hardverskom bazom. Kada je sistem overclockiran izvuče se i poneki bod više (karticu nismo overclockirali). Što se općenitih performansi sistema tiče, čiji je PCM7 vrlo dobar pokazatelj one su i više nego solidne uspoređujući slične konfiguracije. Porast overclockingom (4.8GHz), je solidnih 18%.

Činjenica da memorijska propusnost raste s brzinom definitivno neće nikoga iznenaditi. No da je radnu memoriju na X79 platformi teško natjerati da radi iznad 1866MHz jest. Ma šta god joj radili (č: dizali latencije i napon), nije se htjela probuditi na 2133MHz iako su ovi moduli to u stanju napraviti na Z68 ploči. Bilo kako bilo, na 1866MHz su rezultati najbolji, a smatramo kako bi M Sanovci tvornički trebali podesiti XMP profil u BIOS-u, jer je porast performansi ipak solidan, a i jedna ovakva high-end mašina si ne smije dopustiti rad memorije na samo 1333MHz.

Diskovni je podsustav solidan, a pokazuju to i testovi. SSD je brz, jako brz, premda to ATTO ne pokazuje u write testu. Pretpostavljamo kako ipak ne zna dobro izmjeriti brzinu zapisa na već skoro popunjeni sistemski disk. Ipak, Windowsi se dižu munjevito, baš kao i svi programi. Čak je i WD100EARX vrlo brz za svakodnevne zadaće, i odlično će poslužiti kao skladište podataka. Zbog odlično riješenog hlađenja u Chaseru, diskovi se nikada ne zagrijavaju preko 28°C.

I premda je 4.8GHz vrijednost koja je apsolutno iskoristiva za 24/7 rad, u testovima smo iskoristili i rezultate dobivene na 4.9GHz (sa Noctuom). Porast je kao što vidite odličan. TrueCrypt ponekad zna izbaciti nesuvisle rezultate pa neka vas ovaj slabi napredak dobiven kada smo prvi put testirali i7-3930K ne čudi. Ovaj na 4.9GHz je puno mjerodavniji :) Sve u svemu, lijepi su dobici dobiveni overclockiranjem.
