Conclusion

At the beginning of the conclusion we will comment on the prices. Touro Desktop Pro 3TB model costs around 1.700 kn in local computer equipment stores, which is around 225 € (including VAT), while the Mobile Pro version is not present yet on the domestic market. Ordinary Mobile 500GB variant costs on average about 650kn (85 €), so it is expected that Pro model may cost a little over 700 kn (90 €). The difference between the Pro and the non Pro model is in the construction and in 1 year shorter warranty. Warranty for the Pro models is standard two years. Now that we have resolved the issue of pricing and warranty we can conclude that both devices are very competitive in quality of workmanship, as in performance and price. Performance is just great. Quick Hitachi drives (7K3000 for the desktop, and 7K500 for the mobile) paired with a fast USB 3.0 interface result in transfer speeds well over 100MB/s. That is simply great compared to the slow USB 2.0. The added value of Touro external drives Backup is the backup software and generous 3TB of space to the cloud. This is certainly a crucial factor in the purchase of such equipment and Hitachi did a great job with such an offer. Both devices have no major shortcomings, but we will resent the lack of Power button on the Desktop Pro version. Everything else is just great, and they are both very desirable.
