Zaključak

Testirali smo Kingmaxovu memoriju deklarirane na 1333MHz pri CL9. Dotičnu se
može naći u hrvatskim dućanima po prilično pristupačnim cijenama od 300kn po
modulu od 2GB. Iako se na prvi pogled čini kao ružno pače, druga, ljepša strana
medalje je spomenuti overclocking potencijal ove memorije. Kvaka u cijeloj priči
oko isplativosti je u tome koje ćete čipove dobiti s tom memorijom. Možete dobiti
Elpidu, a možete dobiti Micron. U potonjem slučaju ste pogodili u sridu, a u
prvom baš i ne, s obzirom na to da Elpida ne ide ni približno kako može ići
Micron, ovisno o platformi i danoj voltaži. Bilo kako bilo, od memorije po takvoj
cijeni nije niti fer očekivati nešto više od dobivenog, tako da smo sa sveukupnim
performansom ove memorije na testovima i više nego zadovoljni. S druge strane
to ne možemo reći za ponudu memorije na našem tržištu koji je i dalje očajan,
a nema naznaka boljem, u svakom slučaju, jednu percepciju nakon napisanog u
uvodniku ste stekli. Tokom narednih par mjeseci imati ćemo više memorijskih
kitova namijenjenih za i5, odnosno i7 sustave, kao i nove osvrte, a i konkretne
preporuke po pitanju modela dostupnih na bilo našem ili svjetskom tržištu.

Conclusion

We have tested Kingmax’s memory declared to work at 1333MHz @ CL9. That memory
can be found in Croatian stores at affordable prices of about 40€ per 2GB module.
Although at first glance it seems like an ugly duckling, the other, more beautiful
side of the coin that is worth mentioning is its overclocking potential. The
catch in this whole profitability story is about memory chips. You can either
get Elpida or Micron. Math is very simple: in the latter case you score, and
in the first you don’t. Because Elpida just can’t get near Microns, depending
of the platform and given voltage. Either way, it’s not fair to expect anything
more that what we got, so we can easily say that we are more that satisfied
with the overall performance of this memory. On the other hand, we can’t say
the same for the offer of the memory in our country which is still desperate,
and no indication of improvement. In any case, you have the perception of the
current situation in the beginning of this article. Over the next months we
will have more memory kits aimed for i5 and i7 systems, as well as new reviews,
and specific recommendations regarding models available in either our or the
world market.
